The annual NAB Show brings together the people and technology driving the future of media and entertainment, and this year is no exception. From professionals specializing in content creation to post-production to pro audio, this event attracts more than 100,000 attendees. This week, LaCie is sharing highlights from the show floor.

Introducing LaCie’s latest addition to the Thunderbolt lineup, LaCie ‎Business Unit Manager Erwan Girard is on the ground and giving an inside look at the new 48 TB Enterprise Class version of the creative pro favorite, the LaCie 8big Rack Thunderbolt 2.

With eight Seagate Enterprise Class drives and a five-year warranty, this LaCie 8big Rack gives pros extraordinary 24/7 accessibility and bulletproof reliability required for the most crucial 4K video or 3D rendering projects.

Joining Erwan at the NAB Show was Intel’s Director of Thunderbolt Marketing & Planning Jason Ziller, who highlighted the lightning-fast performance by saying, “[The LaCie 8big Rack] is a great implementation of Thunderbolt 2. It’s got eight drives, which RAIDed together, nearly maxes out the speed of Thunderbolt 2.”

David Helmly, Adobe’s Worldwide Technical Field Manager for Professional Video, also dropped by to talk about how his team uses the LaCie 8big Rack. David has been using the LaCie 8big Rack for over a year and shared his experience with consolidating his storage by saying, “I was able to add it to my system, and the the best part was I was able to take a lot of different devices and remove them once I backed them up – USB 2.0, FireWire, adapters – once I got all of that off, I was able to streamline everything and it’s been fantastic.” You can learn more about how David uses the LaCie 8big Rack to increase video workflow efficiency here.
